AH-64A Apache


  Our AH-64A Apache is a 1/7th scale, 86” long FUSELAGE BASIC KIT with detailed panel lines and access doors, and ACCESSORY KITS (LANDING GEAR, 30 MM CHAIN GUN, COCKPIT, ROCKET LAUNCHER, and HELLFIRE MISSILES and LAUNCHER) which any manufacturer, of any size, would be duly proud. Excellent fiberglass construction, coupled with laser cut 1/4” birch plywood parts and formers, first quality hardware and accessories, and clear, sharp vacuum formed windows comprise the basic kit.

  The accessory kits such as the LANDING GEAR and TAILWHEEL have CAD machined components, wheels and tires, complete hardware package and vacuum formed scale wheel covers.

  The 30 MM CHAIN GUN kit has micro balloon filled, cast resin parts, machined aluminum barrel and cylinders, laser cut flexible bullet chute and hardware package.

  The COCKPIT kit includes vacuum formed parts with cast resin dash panels and Co-pilot Gunner’s sight with dials and instruments printed on adhesive Crack-n-Peel material. Total weight of Cockpit Kit (less the recommended Elite Force Apache Pilot [not included]) is 3.5 ounces.

  The 2.75” ROCKET LAUNCHER kit includes lightweight tube cylinders, cast resin parts and quality hardware.

  The HELLFIRE MISSILES kit includes parts for eight missiles including laser cut fins, hollow cast nose and tail cones and lightweight missile tubes. The HELLFIRE MISSILES LAUNCH RACK includes cast resin launch rails, supports, and mounting block with quality hardware.

  INSTRUCTIONS for the FUSELAGE BASIC KIT as well as the ACCESSORY KITS include step-by-step, clearly written directions with accompanying detailed photos. The PARTS LISTS for all kits are labeled photographs which reduce any conflict or meaning of part name or number.

  The INDY HELIS.COM APACHE AH-64 ATTACK HELICOPTER airframe was designed to use an APACHE modified Spectra “G” mechanics incorporating an Zenoah G231 gas engine, but can be adapted to many different mechanics. The airframe can be flown with 2 bladed, standard main and tail rotors but performs and looks best with 4 bladed rotors on both ends. 4 Bladed rotor heads machined especially for the APACHE are soon to be made available as an option. APACHE modified Spectra “G” mechanic kits (Which include instructions for INDY HELIS.COM APACHE AH-64 ATTACK HELICOPTER) and Zenoah Engines are available from Miniature Aircraft.



  NOTE: If you plan to use the 4 bladed rotor head, we recommend using minimal as possible gap clearance. Gap of 5-7 thousandths works the best. The higher the gear ratio the more gap may be possible.

  Currently with the 4 bladed head we are running 9.5:1 ratios at around 1100 headspeed which delivers around 10,450 RPM's which ensures good clutch engagement for the heavy drag of all four 800mm blades.

  Running low headspeeds on ratios like 8.45:1 WILL destroy your clutch unit.
